What you need
- Your Segway Ninebot F2 or F3, charged and switched on.
- An Android smartphone, a Windows/macOS computer with Chrome, or an iPhone with the Bluefy app.
- The Segway Ninebot Code – Advanced Configuration (69,99 €), delivered by email straight away.
Step-by-step installation
- Buy the code. You receive it by email moments after payment. If you can't find it, check your spam and promotions folders.
- Open the activation tool named in the guide you receive with the code, using Chrome or Bluefy.
- Connect the scooter over Bluetooth, staying close to the vehicle. Use mobile data instead of Wi-Fi for a more stable connection.
- Enter the code and start the configuration. Don't switch off the scooter and don't close the page until the process has finished.
- Set your key combination. From now on, every time you switch on you need to enter it within 30 seconds to activate the configuration.
Common problems and solutions
Zero start works, but the speed doesn't
In almost every case the key combination wasn't entered correctly, or was entered after the 30 seconds were up. Switch off, switch back on and repeat the combination calmly.
The flash stops halfway
Switch to mobile data, use Chrome (or Bluefy on iPhone), move closer to the scooter and repeat the procedure.
"Invalid licence" appears
This isn't an error: it means the code is already installed on the controller.

What the law says in Italy
On public roads, electric scooters must respect the speed limits set by the Highway Code, along with the requirements on registration plates and insurance. No. The code is permanent and tied to the scooter, not to the smartphone.
Do I need to take anything apart?
No. No chip and no mechanical work: the configuration happens over Bluetooth.
Does the code also work on the MAX G2, G3 or ZT3 Pro?
