How do I recognise the Bosch Smart System? If your display is a Kiox 300, Purion 200 or Intuvia 100, or your eBike receives updates via the eBike Flow app, you have a Bosch Smart System BES3.
Two configuration modes
Mode 1 – Standard configuration (recommended)
- Activation up to 32 km/h
- The display shows the real speed

Mode 2 – Advanced configuration
- Activation up to 45 km/h
- The display shows half the real speed
- For maximum performance
Both modes are reversible at any time using the same activation procedure. Bosch updates via the eBike Flow app can be installed normally.
How activation works
- Purchase and delivery
Complete your order. The code and activation guide arrive by email within a few minutes. - USB-C connection
Connect the eBike to your PC with a USB-C data cable, battery charged to at least 20%. The port is on the display or under the System Controller (two screws). - Activation via the tool
Open the activation tool indicated in the guide you received, enter the code, choose the mode and complete the procedure in about 5 minutes. - Reversible whenever you want
Repeat the procedure at any time to restore the original configuration.
You need a USB-C data cable: a charge-only cable will not let the system be recognised. It is the most common mistake.

Does the configuration affect the eBike Flow app?
The configuration is compatible with the eBike Flow app. Standard app features keep working and Bosch updates can be installed normally.
Is the process really reversible?
Yes, it is one of the main features of the BES3 code. You can return to the original configuration at any time by repeating the same procedure.
Can I use the Gen 1–4 code on my Smart System?
No. The two systems are not compatible with each other, and the digital code is not refundable after delivery. If in doubt, write to us with a photo of your display before buying.
What is it intended for?
