Faster Segway Ninebot: Digital Unlock With No Installation
Many Segway Ninebot scooters leave the factory with a speed limit set in software. It is not a mechanical limit: the scooter often has more potential than it lets you use.
With the Velocodix digital code, that configuration can be changed without installing hardware and without any technical work. In this guide you will find how it works, what you need, which models are covered and the two rules you must not get wrong.
How it works
Everything happens in software. After your purchase you receive your personal digital code by email, usually within a few minutes, together with the step-by-step activation guide.
- No installation, no components to fit
- No cables: the connection is via Bluetooth
- No physical modification to the scooter
- Around 5 minutes in total
The guide includes the address of the activation tool and every step in order. Velocodix technical support follows you by email until the procedure is complete.
⚠️ The most important rule: do not update anything from the Segway-Ninebot app
Updates released by Segway can block the configuration. Do not carry out any update from the Segway-Ninebot app, either before or after activating the code.
By far the most common reason codes stop working — more than any other factor. Already updated? Write to us at info@velocodix.it before you buy.
Activation from the scooter
On many models you can set a custom combination directly on the scooter — for example 3× brake + 4× throttle — to switch the configuration on or off at any time, without reconnecting to anything.
Requirements
You need one of these devices: Android, Windows, macOS or iOS.
Recommended browser: Google Chrome. On iPhone you need the Bluefy browser (available on the App Store), because Safari does not support Bluetooth through the browser.
Before you start, make sure that:
- Bluetooth is switched on
- the scooter is not connected to the official Segway-Ninebot app
- no other device is connected to the scooter
Compatible models
MAX series: G2 / G2D / G2E · G30 / G30D / 2nd generation
F series: F2 / F2 Plus / F2 Pro · F3 / F3 Pro
Performance: G3 / G3D / G3E · ZT3 Pro / ZT3 Pro D / ZT3 Pro E
ZT3 series: check the firmware version before you buy
On the ZT3 series, compatibility depends on the Vehicle Controller firmware version, and it does not follow a progressive order: one version may work, the next one may not, and the one after that may work again.
If you have a ZT3, do not buy blind: check your version in the Segway-Ninebot app (Settings → Device information) and write to us first. We will check it for you, free of charge. Up-to-date status: firmware compatibility table.
Restoring the original state
The configuration is reversible: at any time you can return the scooter to its starting state, with no permanent changes to the vehicle.

In summary
On Segway Ninebot scooters, advanced configuration is entirely digital: no installation, no mechanical risk, activation via Bluetooth in a few minutes.
The two things not to get wrong are always the same: no updates from the Segway-Ninebot app, and on the ZT3 series check the firmware before you buy.
