Segway Ninebot e Bosch: I Codici Funzionano Ancora? Stato Aggiornato Settembre 2026

Segway Ninebot and Bosch: Do the Codes Still Work? Status Update September 2026

If you've read around lately that "Segway Ninebot codes don't work any more" or that "tuning is dead", we understand the doubt — but it isn't that simple, and we'd rather be clear with real data than let vague rumours circulate. Here's the actual status, updated and verified personally by our team.

Last updated: 20 September 2026

Why wrong information is going around

Over recent months Segway and Bosch have released several firmware updates, and some third-party tools (not connected to Velocodix) stopped working after those updates. People who ran into a problem with one of those methods talk about it in forums and groups, often without saying which tool they were using — and the "it doesn't work any more" rumour gets generalised to everything, including those who have nothing to do with it.

The result is that many people give up on buying a code that would in fact work perfectly on their vehicle. We want to avoid that, with verifiable information instead of hearsay.

For all Segway Ninebot models one simple rule applies: don't update anything from the Segway-Ninebot app, either before or after activating the code. More than anything else, this is what decides whether the configuration works.

The ZT3 case, explained clearly

The ZT3 series is the only one where there really is a concrete problem, and it's only right to say so openly rather than hide it. We've checked in person, testing the firmware versions directly, and this is what we know for certain today:

  • Vehicle Controller firmware v1.5.5, v1.5.6, v1.5.15, v1.6.2: confirmed working by our team
  • Version v1.5.9: confirmed that the code cannot be activated with this version
  • All other versions, including v1.5.7 and v1.5.8: to be checked case by case before purchase

As you can see from the list, compatibility doesn't follow a progressive order: one version can work, the next one not, and the one after that yes again. There's no threshold along the lines of “anything up to X is fine”, and that's exactly why you don't buy blind for the ZT3.

The full, continuously updated table is in the article Segway Ninebot Firmware 2026: compatibility table.

If you have a ZT3, write to us before buying and tell us the firmware version of your Vehicle Controller (you'll find it in the Segway-Ninebot app, under Settings → Device info). We check compatibility by hand, in person, before you spend a euro. If your version isn't among the confirmed ones we'll tell you so plainly, take note of your contact details and let you know as soon as we have news — with no obligation to buy.

How to check your compatibility before buying

To make all this simple, and not leave you in doubt, we've built a free app that checks your model's compatibility in seconds, guides you through activation step by step and lets you find your codes again whenever you need them.

👉 Open the Velocodix app and check your model

If you're still unsure after checking, write to us directly at info@velocodix.it with your exact model (and, for the ZT3 series, the firmware version): we reply personally, usually within one working day, before you buy.

Already bought and got a question or a problem? Before writing to us, take a look at Segway Ninebot code not working? Answers to the real objections: it gathers the most common questions we receive, with honest answers.

Why you can trust this page

This page isn't a blanket promise that "everything works". It's a dated status update, which we revise every time the situation changes, and which openly states the current limitations too (as in the case of the ZT3 series) instead of hiding them. If something changes, we update this page.

Frequently asked questions

Does my Segway Ninebot MAX or F3 still work with the Velocodix code?

Yes. At the moment there are no known limitations for the MAX G2, G30, F2, F3, G3 and G3D models. The only rule is not to update the firmware from the Segway-Ninebot app.

I have a Segway Ninebot ZT3 — can I buy the code now?

It depends on your Vehicle Controller firmware version, and compatibility doesn't follow a progressive order. Send us the exact version before buying: if it's among the confirmed ones we'll tell you straight away, otherwise we'll take note of your contact details and let you know, with no obligation to buy.

Why have I read online that Segway Ninebot tuning doesn't work any more?

It probably refers to a method or tool other than ours, hit by a specific firmware update. Not all configuration systems are the same: what doesn't work for one method can work perfectly well for another.

Do the Bosch Gen 1–4 and BES3 codes still work?

Yes, both are working normally today. The Gen 1–4 is activated via a Micro-USB cable, the Bosch Smart System BES3 via a USB-C cable with two selectable speed modes.

What happens if I buy and the code then doesn't work?

Our technical support will assist you until it's solved. It's precisely to stop that happening that we always check compatibility before purchase, in particular for the ZT3 series. Remember that the digital code is non-refundable once delivered.
